Yesterday, I went to two flea markets and found nice little things again, but no sewing machine this time and no vintage haberdashery either...
I bought another, more original coffee-mill than last time's (in that post)...
and a splendid painting by Goya I want to hang in my living-room!
No, just kidding! I just want to keep the frame which is large enough to put a sampler in it.
I also bought another, smaller and much more recent frame, just because it's lovely and only cost 1€...
Another find was this small set of shelves that looks like a wooden cabin. I really like the wire mesh on its door.
I also bought another printer's drawer. It's not too dirty and in good condition and only cost me 3€, what a good bargain!
Finally, I found this reading method. It dates back to 1964 and the children pictured on the cover and inside the book are really cute! Besides, the old lady that was selling it only wanted 10 cents for it! Well, that's all folks!
Concerning the Singer sewing machine I bought last time, I got some interesting information about it thanks to a commentary by Kokeshi. Indeed, she told me to look at its serial number and then to check it on Singer's site, which I did. I thus learnt that my machine was made in the Scottish factory of Clydebank between January and June 1918 along with 24,999 other machines. So it's now 91 years old, not too bad for this old lady, isn't it? Thank you for your help, Kokeshi!
Bon après-midi/Have a nice afternoon!
